Several months ago, Jason and I had been doing some photography for Strictly Business when the fabulous people behind it mentioned their innovative idea for a brand new publication based entirely around food. Food! The great equalizer. The one thing that people of all interests and all walks of life have in common. To take this theme one step further the magazine was planned to be centered around food and food enthusiasts from the North Country in particular. Needless to say, this idea had our attention! Two things we love are photography and food. This project combined both! How could we say no?! Over the past few months we’ve had the pleasure of watching this magazine take flight and we have relished the time we’ve spent discussing, photographing and even cooking some delicious treats together in our kitchen. After all, time spent together over a plate of food is never time wasted. Add some interesting conversation with writers and subjects and you’ve got time well spent. Capture it all in a creative way and you’ve got perfection! This project has not only cultivated our photography skills and made us bend our minds in new ways, but it has also brought us closer to the people and food of this wonderful town we call home.

If you haven’t picked up a copy yet, I highly recommend that you do! You can also read the articles and view the photos online. I’m sure you’ll all be impressed by the quality of the writing, layout and content. And, who knows, you might even see someone you know within it’s glossy, colorful pages.
